I am here to clear my name of all wrong doing.
I, David Hammond, have been wrongly accused by an ex-girlfriend of assault and violating an order of protection. All of these charges have been dropped against me.
Today I speak out. I created this website to clear my name and show demonstrable proof I did nothing wrong. Throughout the website, you will find a timeline with police reports and audio and video recordings demonstrating my innocence in this matter.
Timeline of Events
Jennifer contacted a friend trying to intimidate her and advised her not to contact me or befriend David Hammond. I’ve known this person for 30 years.
Police get involved
After I informed Jennifer I had no intention of marrying her, she and another individual go to a bar and get drunk. They called me cursing me and then called to ask if I would pick them up. I ask where my 12-year-old daughter is and I’m informed she is home alone. Jennifer and her 17-year-old daughter arrive with my daughter. The situation escalates and I call 911. Read the full transcript here. The next morning I found one of my tires slashed.
Jennifer shows up to my place around 9:30 p.m. She had been drinking and was worried about paying for the wedding of her oldest daughter. I told her I would do what I could to help. After 9:30 p.m., I reluctantly agreed to let her in.
I receive a call from Jennifer’s mother. The conversation lasted roughly an hour. Her mother told me Jennifer has issues.
During this month, Jennifer contacted two women I had dated in the past asking if I had confided in them. She also told me she had been “peeing in my mouthwash visiting in the past.”
A blocked caller told me the reason for my stomach issues is because “Jennifer had tainted my food at least two times and that she had done the same to an ex.” Caller hung up as I tried to ask questions.
I was contacted by many people after Jennifer posted on Facebook, “Whoever is texting David Hammond needs to stop.” It was removed after 15 minutes.
Jennifer calls waking me up (I had bronchitis and went to bed early). She stated her neighbor had gotten “rough with her.” She had accused this man of stalking weeks earlier. She cried uncontrollably.
Jennifer texts me in the morning saying, “Love makes you do crazy things.” She then showed up later that day at my apartment. She threatens suicide. Police were called.
David Hammond is arrested for simple assault. Click here for an article detailing the assault charge being dropped.
Friend’s cell phone
Five minutes after I am released from jail, I receive a call from a number I do not recognize. It is Jennifer using her friend’s phone. She wants me to meet at her friend’s home to use their hot tub and spend the night. She states she never told police I was on drugs and states her friend Lori Miller had me arrested. I do not know anyone by that name.
I submit to a full panel blood and hair follicle test (test detects drugs at least six months back). Test results show no drug use. Over the course of the next few months, I took two more drug tests and results showed no use.
Order of protection dropped
I received in the mail a copy of the order of protection being dropped. The next day, Jennifer shows up to my home giving me a copy of the dismissal. Read the Dismissal of the order of protection by clicking here.
I received two more unblocked calls during April stating, “Have your doctor check you for antifreeze poisoning.”
Inside my home
Jennifer text me stating she was at my place and that I need to get home. I tell her to leave. She claimed she was inside but was leaving and going to leave her car there over night. I go home to check my place and no sign of her inside or out. I leave and a few minutes later she starts sending pics of items inside my condo. She texts me telling me to name anything I wanted pictures of and she would send it. I go back home and she is inside. As I see some of my shoes in the parking lot and later see that several of my shirts had been cut and ripped. At advice of my friend I record/video the conversation, which you can listen to here. She hid in my attic and refused to tell me how she entered my home. I tried several times to get her to leave. Read the police report here. After two hours of refusing to leave, Jennifer calls 911 claiming she has been held hostage. No charges were placed against her for a false 911 report. charges have yet to be placed against Jennifer for breaking and entering.
I appeared in court. The Assistant District Attorney, who is no longer with the DAs office, said, “Judge, you should make an example of him.” Judge Arnold also stated he signed to dismiss Order of Protection. Never mentioned by media in attendance.
Jennifer keeps texting David Hammond to meet her. She sends pictures of herself at “another man’s house.” You can clearly see it’s her in the picture because the Amedysis Health Care logo on her phone pops up. Read the texts by clicking here, here and here. Jennifer works at Amedysis Healthcare. Over the next two weeks, Jennifer texts me from various phones and named places to meet. My friends and family drove by the places she texted to meet and saw her sitting in a vehicle.
Jennifer shows up at back patio door and stays there crying for close to an hour. I had two witnesses staying with me. Eventually called 911.
I received a text from Jennifer asking who’s car was parked out front. Thirty minutes later she texted me the name of the car owner. At 10:30 p.m. the car is discovered to be heavily scratched. Jennifer contacted the car owner’s cousin that night stating she was with a police officer who ran tags on the car. As we wait on police to arrive, Jennifer’s car drives by slowly and then speeds off. At midnight, she sends a Facebook message to the owner of the car asking if they knew me and how. She denied keying the car at the time but offered to pay for car damage of 2,750.00 to her name from going to court. Read the police report here. The investigator with the Johnson City Police Department contacted the owner’s insurance company, who stated the expenses were at least $4,000. Jennifer could not pay $4,000. She contacted the car owner’s family members stating I never used drugs or alcohol and that the arrest was due to me seeing and texting other people.
The tires are slashed on my car. Jennifer is the prime suspect. Over the month of May, Jennifer contacted friends of mine through text and Facebook and harassed/threatened them.
Continuing to contact
Through the summer of 2019, Jennifer continues to text from app numbers stating things only she would know. There are texts cursing and threatening me, texts she could make all this go away, texts saying my life and my daughter’s life depended on my responding, She texted saying people that I have dated or are dating were trash. And she sent a text saying she had my daughter and my daughter hated me. I never responded. I went to Gatlinburg for Summer Law with fellow Board of Education members when my phone rang constantly from blocked numbers.
I was contacted by individuals stating Jennifer had drugged me a few times to take pictures. One recording of Jennifer stated she didn’t put Klonapen in my food but had put Xanax in my food.
Jennifer contacted me through the Let Go app pretending to be a buyer. She eventually asked me to meet her at apartment 2109 behind Five Below store.
All communication from Jennifer ceased.
The District Attorney requested I not respond or on social media about the accuser and his office would pay all court costs.
